Comparative and Superlative Adjectives - 6th grade

In 6th grade, we are looking at Nicole's pictures and practicing comparative and superlative adjectives.

Remember how to make comparatives:

Remember how to make superlatives:

Now, let's compare places!

Arizona is hot.

Minnesota is warm.

Arizona is hotter than Minnesota.

Alaska is cold,

Arizona is the hottest. Alaska is the coldest.

How else can we compare Arizona, Minnesota and Alaska?

(green) Minnesota is the greenest.
(mountainous) Alaska is the most mountainous.
(dry) Arizona is the driest.
(flat) Minnesota is the flattest.
(cloudy) Alaska is the cloudiest.

Which state do you think is the most beautiful?
